Robin’s Charm

When icy winds make faces freeze
And scarves don’t quite deflect the breeze,
A joyful sound with melodies clear,
Can bring our frozen hearts some cheer.
Sitting proud in bare tree tops,
The Robin moves in tiny hops.
And as its warbling notes ring out,
It always makes me turn about.
Seeing its cosy flash of red
And hearing it sing with tilted head,
Is my favourite part of winter time.
What’s your best bit, now you know mine?
