What matters is that we listen to everybody\u2019s opinion and understand that we all need to not just listen, but <em>hear<\/em> what people are saying. Don\u2019t disregard things just because you don\u2019t agree with them &#8211; keep an open mind.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/writeupyourstreet.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/welcome22-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-354\" width=\"200\" height=\"80\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are all equal human beings but our backgrounds are different. Sometimes peer support from someone who has lived experience is more valuable than the opinion of an expert, who is basing their ideas on what they\u2019ve read in a textbook. To me, inclusion means the expert listening to people with lived experience, just as much as the other way around.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think we should all be working together for the benefit of everyone, not just a few. If you want to change things, get involved. Make yourself heard.
