The sun stretches out it\u2019s golden rays,
The beginning of a brand new day,
Daffodils unfurl and bloom,
While blue birds sing their morning tune,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smell the freshly cut green grass,
Nestled in the trees another egg hatched,
To the whir of the neighbour\u2019s mower,
Bees hum an octave higher,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This a new year means a new mindset,
It gives you that spring in your step,
Butterflies flying all around me,
Remind that this world has so much beauty,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Candy floss clouds across a canvas of blue,
Cobblestone pathways out of city view,
Houses in trees and pools for a paddle,
Horses in fields make me want to get in the saddle,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can feel warmth on my face but I\u2019m still in my coat,
When something catches my eye I make a quick note,
All four of the seasons each hold a great treasure,
If you are observant it\u2019s more than the weather,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve stepped straight into a painting,
Flowers growing – all winter waiting,
Accessorised with daisy chains,
I wave to the passengers on steam trains,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On my travels too – I\u2019m on a journey,
I hold the pen and this is my story,
At one with nature – I feel alive,
New beginnings are where creativity thrives,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And when I put pen to paper,
These things around me I will savour,
Deeply rich in inspiration,
My words now leave their station\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
